This Is England You can’t speak for the sound of popping Champagne corks in the Warp Films offices these days! You may have read that Shane Meadow’s This Is England won BEST FILM at the UK Independent Film Awards a couple of weeks ago. The film’s star Thomas Turgoose also won Most Promising Newcomer. If you’re desperate to see what all the fuss is about, we are happy to let you know that everyone in the UK will be able to see it in April 2007 (around St George’s Day probably) via Optimum Releasing. We hope to confirm a release in the Rest of the World very soon. !!! (Chk Chk Chk)The first taster from !!!’s Myth Takes is hitting clubs right now and already getting heavy radio rotation in Japan. The track, entitled Heart of Hearts is undoubtedly one of the best things they have ever done and a perfect introduction to the barn-storming new material. BattlesThere will be new Battles music early next year. We haven’t heard much yet, but what we have heard sounds like nothing else.
