Jimmy Edgar

Jimmy Edgar

The landmark album Music Has The Right To Children was a revolutionary melding of distant, off-pitch melodies and unsettling fragments of speech. Follow-up Geoggaddi took the darker elements of the BoC world view to the extreme, providing the ammunition to fill a thousand message boards.
The Campfire Headphase sounds like a reaction to what had gone before. Acoustic instruments, previously distorted beyond recognition, have been allowed to keep their identity. In all it’s a less claustrophobic album than its predecessors, but no less beautiful - celebratory mushroom music for hazy Autumnal Days.
The Campfire Headphase is out now.

Squarepusher

Jimmy Edgar Tom Jenkinson is on tour in November throughout the UK. Often illusive and always uncompromising, his virtuoso bass skills have rarely graced the live arena, but most of the dates here will feature full live jams, some with drums and sax. All will also go off to classic Squarepusher rave sets. A full list of dates and supports, specially programmed by Tom himself, is in the Warp Live section below.
