Jamie Lidell’s long-awaited new album Multiply is out now. Producer, singer, beatboxer and all-out showman without equal, Jamie has crafted a twisted electronic soul classic that has the power and emotion of vintage Marvin Gaye or Stevie Wonder while adding a unique Lidell electronic twist and fat drums. Warp Films: Paradise Lost

TLS

On 20th June Warp Films’ new distribution label will release classic American documentaries Paradise Lost and Paradise Lost 2 by Joe Berlinger & Bruce Sinofsky (the directors of Metallica: Some Kind of Monster). The much celebrated films, that also feature a soundtrack by Metallica, tell the true story of one of the most notorious murder cases in US history, and the aftermath in which three teenagers were convicted of murder in - what some claimed – was an atmosphere of ‘Satanic Panic’. Fraught with innuendoes of devil worship, allegations of coerced confessions and emotionally charged statements, the case was one of the most sensational of recent times. The filmmakers captured these shocking events as they unfolded before their cameras with unprecedented access to all involved in this real-life human drama.

"Breathtakingly brilliant documentaries" GQ "Mesmerizing. True crime reporting at its most bitterly revealing" NYTimes "Gripping. The best documentary of the year, maybe of the decade." NY Post

Prefuse 73

Prefuse 73 release a new 8 track EP on 11th July, a collaboration with The Books. Reads The Books continues the evolution of Scott Herren’s Prefuse alias into one of the most versatile and visionary producers in the world. The clash of The Books’ cellos, banjos, clavinets and other traditional instrumentation with the digital clatter of Prefuse’s MPC and synths creates the feeling of a musical lover’s quarrel.
