Two Lone Swordsmen

TLS

The new album rom Two Lone Swordsmen From The Double Gone Chapel will be released on May 17th. The album features vocals by Andy Weatherall himself, Keith Tenniswood on bass and guitar, plus various live drums and keys. Revisiting the murky London underworld evoked by classic Sabres of Paradise like Haunted Dancehall , the album is full of the Swordsmen's many influences - dub, goth, industrial, electro, punk and more. You can listen to the album on the excellent new TLS Site. A 3 track promo single "Faux" is out now, released on 12" vinyl through Warpmart and indie stores, and as a download from Bleep.

Made In Sheffield

A new film Made in Sheffield is released on 10th May, documenting the ‘golden age’ of Sheffield music from 1977-1982, an era that saw the emergence of post-punk industrial pioneers like Cabaret Voltaire and the world-conquering electropop of The Human League, ABC and later, Pulp. The artists and music from this era heavily influenced the early days of Warp, and the film is well worth a look. All the info and advance purchase on the Sheffield Vision site. BBC Review
